Australia Bridging Visa C (Subclass 030)

Bridging Visa C is for the applicant who had been immigration cleared or had bypassed immigration clearance. The applicant:

 

  • had not come to the Department’s notice within 45 days of arrival
  • does not hold substantive visas
  • had not held a Bridging E visa since last holding a substantive visa
  • is not in detention or had not escaped from detention

Who can apply for Bridging Visa C?

The applicant who holds a Bridging Visa C which does not permit the applicant to work. However, the applicant may work if there is a compelling need to work (must seeking permission).

    • Unlawful (do not hold substantive visa)
      • Had not held BVE
      • Immigration cleared or bypassed clearance and had not come to Dept notice within 45 days of arrival
      • Not in detention
    • Making substantive visa application; or
    • Lodged judicial review application; or
    • Minister commenced judicial review.

Form 1022: Notification of changes in circumstances – if there are other changes in your circumstances.

Provide Correct Information

The applicant must provide correct information to the department, in writing, at any time. If the applicant wants to correct information he/she use Form 1023 Notification of incorrect answer(s). The department could ask the applicant for further information. If the application is refused, the department will give the applicant the opportunity to comment on information and the applicant may be request for an interview.
